The Prayer Request
Acceptance:
We all do this is some form, when we want the job. We want the car. We want the home. We want the goal met. We want to win. We want the love. We say a prayer make a request for the desire. Hoping it comes in our time, In the form and how we dreamed of it. This is the humor in the universe and the higher power in which we may trust those prayers of request.
I believe that in acceptance of saying a prayer we acknowledge that as we pray we release the power of control for the request to be completed. That as we know it is a action of acceptance. We accept that after me make the request, we have no reason to be concerned with its outcome. But do you really have acceptance of the response e when it is delivered?
This action of acceptance shows an exchange of responsibility from you to the place of the request. What does it take for one to have true acceptance when making a prayer request? I’ll say this, when you make the choice to ask for anything it does no good to them worry or be anxious for the response. My encouragement for you is to trust the receiver of the request, do your part and be at ease. All things have a time of happening and most happen when you least expect it, which is the right time.
What about your request will you learn to accept today?
Obedience:
I feel like this word is the new curse word for adults. We feel that at a certain age we can stray, slack, or fall back from doing what is required of us in the act of obedience. It’s like we’ve gotten to. A point in our lives we feel we have enough understanding from the past lessons that we can freelance the next few life lessons.
What I’ve learned and excepted fully is the obedience used in the last lesson is what we need to take with us to overcome new challenges. As a child were were told that obedience is connected to success, having fun, and less hardship experiences. In most cases, I agree. I know many who took the path of following the rules and today are where they were guided to be. whether that be school success, family, friends, marriage, and full life. They practice obedience in those areas of life and they enjoy the rewards of such.
What has your lack of obedience caused you to miss out or delay in your life?
Patience:
Hearing the word sometimes reminds one this is the area in life I need help the most, or I am strong in. I really depends on my need and situation. teaching patience is like reminding yourself to take your own advice, remember to breathe, step back, and give a moment to think of the outcome good or bad when patience is exercised. lets be frank! we sometimes loose the patience taught and we want to hurry up, get on with it and so forth!
I know me and I’m like look get going already, why are you moving, driving, walking to slow?! I look for ways to sped things up to get o the result I believe is right. Yup, I have rushed things in my past life lessons and now I see those actions did more harm then than better. I do have many things I want or wish I could redo, with patience! I pray daily to Jesus that what I know now helps me in my walk with exercising patience. I know I can and will do better, not perfect but defiantly better than my yesterday.
I want you to stop where you are, think of a right-now situation where you can exercise PATIENCE. write down how the situation makes you feel (be real with yourself), express why you feel the need to move faster or whataever the true feeling is. After you do this, put the act of patience in where you would not and discover the options of what this act brought more to the situation than less.
What have you learned from not having patience in your daily life choices?
Does having patience help you or hold you back?
In making your prayer request I charge you to not only request but live in the obedience that allows your request to manifest in your life. Exercise the patience of believing that what you need will be and it will be worth the wait.
I love you.
